Create the future you want to be a part of.

New Room is an agile team of Impact and Innovation designers focused on human-centred learning and development.

Driving social & organizational transformation by equipping Leaders of Change with the tools they need to create deep, systems-based innovation.

HOW WE DO IT.

We blend Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access and Social Impact (IDEAS) training with Innovation and Strategy frameworks to support individuals, teams and organizations in creating transformative change within themselves and their communities.

Our programs and services are built to support the personal, professional and collective transformation of participants and teams.

A foundation of IDEAS.
What drives our program design.

Leadership and innovation, to us, must include a deep knowledge of issues pertaining to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access and Social Justice (IDEAS), as well as a firm commitment to personal (development), interpersonal (dialogue), and (radical) systemic change in ways that prioritize people and the planet as much - if not more than- profit.

Introsection.
How we create safety in learning.

Our programs are designed to introduce new concepts in accessible ways, take into account intersectional identities and lived experiences, and guide participants further into introspection.

We’ve found that the combination of these three allows learners to engage in content in a more profound way, resulting in more meaningful shifts.

Creative Courage.
Our method for strategic growth.

Creative Courage is a phased, intentional approach to idea generation and strategic planning. This approach prioritizes personal and contextual awareness, transparent communication and creative collaboration as a means to innovative strategy and solution building. Throughout the process of building viable and realistic plans, teams access the collective confidence required to enact change.

High-impact programs & services

Co-Founded by Daniele-Jocelyne Otou and Erin Willett, New Room was born out of a creative realization and conscious acknowledgment that a better way is possible. A better way to learn; a better way to work; a better way to do business; but more importantly - a better way to connect to one another.

Combining Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-Racism & Social Justice (IDEAS) practices with Innovation and Strategy frameworks, New Room designs programs and experiences that allow individuals and teams to transform in ways that allow them to not only better adapt to the issues we are collectively faced with today, but creatively collaborate towards finding mission-driven solutions. We’re committed to upholding and exploring the following values through our work:

Collectivity

We believe in the collective power of individual action; the individual’s power to play a role in collective change. We know that progress is only possible when we learn from one another in community, collaboration, and connection.

Power

From decentralizing power to empowering and supporting historically marginalized people, New Room opens the door to real social change and equity through anti-oppressive values and education.

Awareness

Those who will find a home in New Room have the desire, humility, open-ness and discernment to learn more about themselves and others to contribute to individual and collective healing.

“One of the most vital ways we sustain ourselves is by building communities of resistance, places where we know we are not alone.”- bell hooks
